Summer Moratorium is FINALLY over and Fall Ball is upon us. So, here are a few things going into fall...
Open Gyms
Open Gyms are starting TOMORROW Monday August 17th. Open Gyms will be held Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Remember open gyms are for anyone who is wanting to play, or come get some work in the gym with the coaches from 9th to 12th grade. The schedule will be posted under the "schedule" tab of this webpage. Every player who attends open gym will also receive a schedule that will cover everything we are doing from now until try-outs. DO NOT LOSE YOUR FALL SCHEDULE.
Saturday Open Gym
Saturdays for open gym will be used mostly as a scrimmage day. Whether, you will be scrimmaging other high school teams or former college players, Saturday is the day to come and play 5 on 5 full court.
Basketball Class
If you are enrolled in 8A basketball class it is important that you come everyday ready to run. By that I mean you come with workout clothes and appropriate running shoes.
Fall Athletes
Now, I know a lot of girls have commitments to their fall sport whether that be soccer, volleyball, or club softball. I totally understand those commitments!! Open Gyms are not mandatory and with it not being basketball season nothing is required. I can promise you wont be penalized in anyway if you miss due to a fall sport. I do advise that if you have the time and want to work on your game it would be good to come to a day or two of open gym so you don't get too rusty, but no pressure. Fall sports take priority!
Fundraising
This fall we will be doing a clothing drive fundraiser. Flyers will be sent home as well as a link is listed below. If you have any clothes please put them in a large garbage bag and contact Coach Kaufusi. There will be 3 weekends in October where clothes can be dropped off. More information will be given closer to those dates. Start gathering clothes! Remember, every little bit will help!
Clothing Drive Information
If you have any questions at all regarding open gyms, the fall schedule, bantam, fundraising, or any other concerns please feel free to contact coach Kaufusi.
